The parameters were:
- John's velocity: 2 km/hJane's velocity: 4 km/h
- Spike's velocity: 9 km/h
- Distance: 5 km/h
How long does it take for John and Jane to meet? The relative velocity
between John and Jane is 4 + 2 = 6 km/h. With the
distance of 5 km it takes 5/6 h for them to meet. Spike is running
all the time so his running distance is
9 km/h x 5/6 h = 7.5 km.
