Mixing Red and White Wine

There are are two glasses with the same amount of wine in it - one with red wine and one with white wine. Now a spoon full is taken from the red wine and put into the white wine. The mixture is stirred properly. Now a spoon full is taken from the mixture and put into the red wine.

Question: Is there

  • More red wine in white wine than white wine in red wine, or
  • More white wine in red wine than red wine in white wine, or
  • Is the amount of white wine in the red wine identical to the amount of red wine in the white wine?

When I was in school I solved this "mathematically" - however, there is a solution which does not involve a lot of calculations...
